Wide Format Lamination

Digiprint can laminate or encapsulate your wide format prints to enhance and protect them.

We have a laminator capable of encapsulating or laminating up to 1 metre wide by any length in both Bath and Chippenham. Most solvent printing will require either a crystal matt or gloss seal to protect from scratches and weathering and we can encapsulate internal prints to prolong their lifespan.

There are several options available.

External Solvent Prints:
Crystal matt over laminate (single side)
Gloss over laminate (single side)

Internal dye prints:
Matt or Gloss encapsulate
(both sides sealed)

Our encapsulation machine has matt one side and gloss the other so you can choose which finish will suit your prints.

Lamination and encapsulation:

Lamination:
Cold press films are used to over laminate one side of printed materials or to seal a printed board protecting it from the elements and sunlight fading. We have a variety of finishes including gloss, matt and a crystal laminate that give your printed signs or posters that added professional look and feel and also protect them from scratches and wear.

Encapsulation:
Encapsulation films are used to coat printed materials on both sides via our motorised specialist large format encapsulator. We use a premium range of low melt heat films with an operating temperature of 100oC and permanently seal your originals encasing them in a clear film. We have a variety of finishes including gloss, matt and a crystal finish that give your printed posters that added professional look and feel and also protect them from scratches, moisture and wear.

Mounting films:
Our mounting film is a two sided pressure sensitive adhesive with a polyester carrier film on one side. We use this film for creating a high quality professional mounting finish on a variety of boards and prints. You can buy boards from us supplied with mounting film ready to adhere your originals to.

Matt Laminate is a single sided adhesive covering that reduces glare and protects your printing.

Gloss Encapsulating covers and seals your image on both sides usually with a glossy front film and a matt back film. Your posters will be water proof and tear proof.
